Still enjoying Andy's two weeks off, we went on a day trip to Caswell Bay in the Gower.
Despite the fact that it torrented down as we were driving through Swansea, the weather was warm enough to go paddling, and sunny enough to give Daddy sunburn!

Andy's got two weeks off work (hooray!), but instead of going away on holiday, we're going to spend some fun-time at home, and maybe go on a few day trips.
Our first day trip was with Nanny, Uncle Mike, Auntie Jan and James to Oakwood. We had great weather, and a great time. Hannah's favourite bit was the 'Tree-tops rollercoaster', even though she said that it was scary and it made her "tummy feel funny"!

Daddy's bravery last week at Brecon Mountain Railway was rewarded by a week off! Mummy, Hannah and Thomas went away from Monday to Friday to the 'Supergang' camp with some of the children from church. Daddy would have loved to come, but he was working!
Hannah loved the camp, Thomas hated being surrounded by zillions of children, Mummy nearly had a breakdown, but enjoyed it anyway. And did Daddy enjoy his week off? Need you ask?

Uncle Mike and Daddy deserve bravery awards after single handedly taking Hannah, Thomas and James on a "Tots 'n' Toys" outing to Brecon Mountain Railway.
Being the only male grown-ups on the trip, the pressure was on to ensure that the day passed smoothly and uneventfully, and that's exactly what happened.
There's nothing to this parenting thing, after all!

Thomas decided to put his new found feet into good use today, with an expedition around the museum in Cardiff. It was a complete role-reversal, as Hannah spent most of the time being pushed in the push chair, with us running after Thomas to keep him from being eaten by dinosaurs and woolly mammoths!

Thomas has finally done a full lap of a year, and reached his 1st birthday - and it only took him 12 months to do it!
And the good news is that he did manage to get walking before he hit one. It seems like he put in a huge concerted effort to do it before his birthday, as he has come on in leaps and bounds (or maybe trips and stumbles!) in just the last couple of weeks.
We think that Hannah had a major part to play in his walking, as they've recently been practising doing laps of the house with Hannah sat on her push-along car with Thomas holding on behind and doing the pushing. It's hilarious to watch, especially when Hannah lifts her legs up in the air and leaves Thomas to struggle to do all the work himself!
